The 1st ever Holi party at the University of Glamorgan is here.. The biggest SAMS event soo far celebrated with all the pomp & joy… Colours, Traditional reception, Rangoli, Water baloons, sweets & party games.. We have it all covered to make it the cultural event of the year. We plan to celebrate it the way it’s done in the Asian Sub-continent. The event will be under high security & no colours will be put on anyone who does not want them.

Come & enjoy one of the biggest festivals of India & have a time of a lifetime. Our main aim is to promote the integration of cultures right here at the University of Glamorgan. Inviting everyone to be a part of our culture & celebrations while I play some of the best music there is….

My 1st party in Cardiff turned out to be a little more than a party.. Sorry… it turned out to be a lot more than just a party.. It was an experience on a whole.. An experience I will never forget..!!!

To mention a few facts… It had a number of firsts for me at this party..

This was the 1st time I played in Cardiff..

First time I played at a club anywhere… I have done loads of private parties & number of weddings.. But this was the 1st time I played at a proper nightclub.. {Godd.. I was nervous.. lol..}

n this was the 1st time I played with 101 ^oF fever & rising…!! haha… {dont i look sick in the pic…?? }
& even the mixer was sick.. see the number of tapes it has on the knobs…

Well… all this was when I reached Tantra & had just started… I was just getting used to the system & figuring out things when I notice that within no time the place was already buzzing… loads of couples warming up for the page to turn to Valentines day 2007 in about an hours time.. n not just couples.. many student groups coming to just have a crazy warm up to the ASIAN BALL in just about 10 days…

Well I started off with RnB to please the ladies while I get my act together. People were already on the floor.. One thing about the Cardiff crowd I figured out is it does not take lot of time to get them up on their feet.. They are there to have a good time.. & them make the best of it from the very beginning.. which is something really encouraging.. It inspires a DJ to play the best music throughout the evening & not just for a particular set.. Adds more purpose to us..

The requests for Bhangra started flowing in no time.. & I was happy to get on with it.. It was approaching 12 & the floor was already packed.. Tantra does not have a huge floor.. but heyyyy… that does not matter on a day when you are supposed to get really close n tight..

The night just flowed… Bhangra to Bollywood… to more Bollywood & loads of Punjabi… & then into back to back Remixes… a true Desi jam in every sense…

I had a little trouble with the system there.. but had the best help in DJ Imran & DJ Nawaz… thanks a ton guys for backing me up … n also playing a great set while i sat popping a few pills..

Then I came back… n this time..  the crowd just made me wanna jump the hoops on the music.. I just kept pushing it up n beyond.. the nervousness just disappeared.. I picked up the mic & got talking to my audience.. & they responded… just made me feel the moment… it was deep..!! I could feel being a part of them on the floor rather than just standing behind the console..

God I can go on talking about this  party endlessly.. It had soo many aspects to it.. But i’ll leave it for the pics to say it all… they are more expressive.. !!!

Just want to say a massive thanks to Vibrasians for putting me on & giving me a chance to be a part of this one of a kind Desi Jam… on a really special day. Cheers to Imran & Nawaz for their musical contributions. You added a zing to the night. A big thanks to my guys from Glamorgan who came down to support me.. Couldn’t have done without you guys.. Special mention to Ashwin… Thanks for helping me out with everything buddy & taking some great shots…

Iboro n Buray… what can I say.. you guys dont even understand Asian music but still leave no corner on the dance floor uncovered.. You guys make me wanna blow the speakers with my music.. Thank you Cath for coming to my crazy party to celebrate your birthday. Even if I would play Happy Birthday in Hindi.. you still wouldn’t understand it.. but am sure you would still groove to it like you did.. Hope you had a good time..

And most of all… thank you to each one of you who came down to be a part of this.. You made this party what it was.. A full house success…!!! Hope to see you all at many more parties to come… Cause you will definitely see much more of me now.. Next at the CARDIFF ASIAN BALL… where will you be on 24th Feb..!!

Tuesday the 13th Feb.. at TANTRA nightclub @ Cardiff Central… The perfect place to get your valentine & get some filmi moves on while you get mushy in the typical Bollywood style.. lol.. wont that be fun..

4 successful SAMS parties so far.. & if you’ve been there & liked them [which i believe you did... going by the pictures down here].. this is where you got to be.. Cause this is my 1st party in Cardiff & I’m sure going to make this one a night to remember…

An all night long party … that’s the best it can be to start off your valentines day… I’ll see to it I give you all the romantic stuff along with all the right grooves to move on…

Frankly, although I shouldn’t be writing this here… but hey… what the hell.. it’s my blog site.. …..shuuhhh…. I am a little nervous… welll… it’s my 1st big one in a big place.. on a really special evening… but bring it on… I have been waiting for this day for 4 months now since I have been here… but nevertheless.. that’s more of a reason I want you all to be there to support me & allow me to give you the most wicked time I have planned for you…  Definitely wont let you down
