DJ Gaurav is one of the biggest and best DJ’s of India in the weddings, private parties & corporate events circuit. He is an acclaimed name in the industry based in New Delhi and is currently know in reference to the
WORLD’S BIGGEST WEDDING OF THE YEAR – Bollywood Super Star ABHISHEK BACHHAN weds Miss World AISHWARYA RAI.
He started his music career 12 years back when he started DJ’ing for one of the pioneers of DJ’ing in India – DJ Sunny Sarid and his music company “Sound of Music” which is still a well known name in Delhi. He worked for about 5 years with him and then started his own company in partnership called NIGHTLIFE. They provided sound, lights & DJ’s for weddings, private parties, corporate events and even the top nightclubs in Delhi. Nightlife reached astonishing heights in a matter of months and did some major events for some of the biggest names, like the wedding of steel tycoon Mittal’s daughter in France.
The Nightlife team split nearly two years back and now Gaurav runs his own sound company called GLOBAL SOUND MANAGEMENT {GSM} with 2 offices in Delhi. He has a staff of more than 10 technicians & office staff. He owns a huge rig of Martin Audio sound equipment, lights, dancefloor, etc. He also has 3 DJ’s working under him and also owns his own private music production studio.
He started producing music for Times Multimedia games [Times Group] and is now the Sound producer for a Singapore based video games manufacturing company called PLAYWARE STUDIOS PVT. LTD. He composes music, does the sound design, editing, mixing, mastering etc. for all their games. He also did his first major REMIX of the song ‘Lekin mera dil‘ by Nazia Hassan which was featured on the TIMES MUSIC album called 100% HITS which also featured remixes by artists like Leslie Lewis, DJ Nasha, DJ Suketu, etc.
He is the regular DJ for all Times of India and Tag Heur parties in North India. Amitabh Bachhan, Vineet Jain [TOI], Nanda’s [Escort Group], Paul’s [Park Hotels], Ansal group, Sameer Thappar, Sanjay and Karishma Kapoor, Kajaria group, Citi Bank, HDFC Bank, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahilyani, etc. are just some of his regular clients.
He was specially invited and requested to play at the Abhishek Bachhan-Aishwarya Rai wedding this year where he played for 5 days at the Bachhan House in Mumbai for the family functions.
He has also played for the completion party of the movie “Eklavya” starring Amitabh Bachhan and also the premier party of the movie “Koi Mil Gaya” starring Hritik Roshan and Preity Zinta. He has performed for celebrities like Sharukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra, etc. just to mention a few in the current crop.
He has performed with artists like Shankar Eshaan Loy,singer Shibani Kashyap, VJ-Sophie, DJ Aqueel, DJ Suketu, DJ Nikhil Chinappa [MTV], etc. He has also done some major club launches like the F Bar, Steel, Ministry of Sound in Delhi.
He was recently on tour in UK where he played at a couple of special club nights followed by radio interviews on BBC Radio 1 with Nihal and on the show Love Bollywood. He is a regular feature & guest speaker on current musical scene in major newspapers and radio chat shows in India.
He is usually on tours to UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, Phuket, Dubai, Nepal, Hong Kong and he could be playing at your special wedding or corporate party next. He does special music design for the main wedding ceremony and is available to handle all your wedding functions from the Sangeet to your Bachelor party.
